Does a smaller ring prevent nocturnal erections better?

I am wearing the holy trainer v4 24x7 these days and I am super comfortable in the day. While my nights are not painful they are uncomfortable and my sleep quality not so good.

I have noticed that my penis remains flaccid but its base engorges and pushes the cage down which squeezes the balls.

Should I go for a smaller ring size so that I can stop the base from getting erect? Has anyone tried that? Its a bit of cost to get the V4 ring shipped so want to be really sure if its going to work.

As far as rings go i would go with the one finger rule. As long as you don't change color drastically and you can pee without restriction you should be fine. Amazon sells a knock off H/T with multiple size rings for cheap if you want to experiment with different size rings. I'm guessing you haven't worn the device long. It does take time for the scrotum to streach a bit and for your body to adjust. Best of luck.

Thanks Kitty. I have been wearing it for about 2 months but I usually take it off after 4 AM. Its only been the past 2 weeks where I have persevered to last the night but at the expense of my sleep quality. Is the House of Denial HTV any good?

I once tried a smaller base ring than I'd ever worn previously. It was someone tight during the day but manageable. At night, it was excruciating.

On the other hand, I also tried one that was a few steps bigger than normal and it was annoying during the day but I had almost no issues at night.

    Your mileage may vary.

Thanks @Unlucky. Do you have any tricks to reduce the ring size at home? Will tying some strings to it help?

I've tried several ring sizes, and they've had little to no effect on erections during the night. I think you just have to adjust to that occurring and hope that over time you'll acclimate to them. Some on here, wear a different cage style at night vs day, so maybe it will work for you.

My erections occur more or less at the same time, early morning, whether caged or not. Getting up and going to the bathroom or disrupting the erection cycle might help. Good luck.

If anything the smaller ring could trap blood in the penis making the erection last longer. I woke up one morning with a raging hard on (see pic) that lasted nearly 3 hours until I finally took the device off. It looked just like the picture in my profile the entire time - same device too. (See the other dick pic for what it was trying to become) Lol

That's what happened when I tried a smaller ring. It was excruciating and wouldn't go away

lenght of the cage has better effect for nocturnal erections
    as short as possible
and a short ring (but that you can wear without pain)
i'm no more awaken, or just for time to sleep down again

Yes, definitely length of cage to prevent erections, the shorter the better. Ideally, the end of the penis should always press against the head of the cage, shorter is much better than having a gap at the end. Diameter isn't that important, if anything, too small a diameter and tight causes problems, both bad circulation while flaccid, and even more pain and inability to return to normal when becoming erect. Base ring size is more relevant for security, but as above, don't go too small.

Keep to the rule of always being able to slip one finger inside the base ring while wearing it. The tube should no more than hug the penis, but it being just a little wider is no problem for hygiene or comfort.
