I’m looking for recommends for smart lock boxes that can be opened by remotely granting access. dreamlover makes one: https://www.dreamloverlabs.com/chronovault.php This looks like it would work well: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07G8CVQNK?tag=mav09-20&linkCode=ogi&th=1&psc=1 What do you do for remote key management?
I think igloohome smart key 2/3 is the best choice Easy to use, set and incredible useful 4 our interests I think it’ll be my next kh gift
I’ve been looking to make something like this for a good few months now. I’ve got a very secure prototype made just having some software issues around the way it receives its commands.
We used this while my wife was on travel. It worked very well. It’s solidly made and operated reliably. It’s portable enough that I did bring it with me in my gym bag for appointments where I needed to be unlocked. I’m interested in getting the version 3 as it has a few extra nice features. You do need your keyholder to have physical possession of it in the beginning. It’s a seriously engineered and designed advice. I recommend the IglooHome Smart Keybox https://www.igloohome.co/products/keybox-3/
Really? I provided the link. Click it. Read it. The website compares the version 2 vs the version 3. I’ll explain from memory: There was a volume control, a new pin code type, USB-C emergency charge, and some other features I forgot. I wish the version 3 was out when I bought the version 2... but the version 2 works great. So if you can get the v2 on sale, do so.
Try Populife. They just came out with a new key box. I have it and works wonders for security. Can even schedule access per day of week if she wanted. Access via #s or Bluetooth. They also have a gateway to connect the box to WiFi.
It’s a KickStarter. I do not recommend them. I have had a poor history funding them and getting a product. It’s also a near copy of the IglooHome device. The Smart KeyBox which is already on the market, available on their website and amazon in its third iteration. The optional Gateway does allows the Bluetooth LE connection to be triggered via WiFi. Though that’s not really needed. I liked that access was only by Bluetooth and hand typed pin code.
It was a kickstarter. They already produced and shipped. I have the product and it is mounted in my wife’s closet. She has the app. I’m locked and key is inside. Works fine!!! I took a risk on Kickstarter since the company has had other lock products. It paid off. I just recently received an email to their online store so you can buy directly: https://www.populife.co/#/store I’m including a pic of it mounted to the wall.
I have a spare-lid for a kitchensafe that is unused after i got the newer version... So i cut it open and wired the motor to an Arduino (or ESP8266 to be more precise). Now it connects to my WiFi and gets the time from the internet, so it's doesn't have to run all the time until it unlocks. The unlock-time is entered on a webpage and stored on the Arduino and a code for unlocking and reducing the time can be set. (adding is always possible)
I don’t have any emotional attachment to Igloohome, but Populife looks like a Chinese company made a newer kickstarter from copying Igloohome’s keybox 2 software and core pin algorithm and made a cheaper hardware version. When I downloaded the user manuals, populife has the exact same list of features, in the same order and uses the exact same text in one section: “Cloud Backup of Master Access Master access is tied to user account instead of phone. Any phones logged in to user account will have full control of the lock.“ Does anyone else see what I’m seeing? Is this now a thing? Kickstarters that copy the originators’ design or software? Igloohome has since upgraded their software and features, perhaps in response. I like the newer KeyBox 3 features of the Bluetooth creates pin and the ability to delete individual pins.... and the more reliable Bluetooth 5 feature. I’m intrigued by the newer Bluetooth key that allows real-time notifications back to the “master” (keyholder) via the Internet connected phone app. This allows the smart lock to be secure without internet access and preserve battery life. I heavily recommend Igloohome as a company, and their product. I’d shop with the original inventor - they have a support forum, a wide product base, and are creating new versions of their products in the last months. (Not just a copycat). Since there is (minimal) server dependencies for code creation for the master, I would worry if populife’s services would continue.
check this one out from master lock...and cheaper than the other two mentioned in this thread this i think is a better choice. https://www.amazon.com/Master-Lock-...id=1602767557&sprefix=populife,aps,233&sr=8-6
well if some people were complaining about this product ....i did not see it on here... in fact my post showing it here is the only one i see about it... its not designed for chastity key holding per say, but it is an internet lock box....and its made by a large company "Master Lock"
