My wife and I do not do a lot of anal play--I have a small jeweled butt plug I wear maybe two hours a month. During Locktober, my Key Holder (not my wife), has been having me wear a butt plug for 4 hours a day--two during morning meditation & chores and two at night. KH had me order a Hush so that they could remotely control it---Hush is larger then what I was using before. During our Park Walk yesterday, I told my wife that using lotion was getting messy and I was very much repulsed by the anal process. She gave me Astro Glide to try this morning & it made a HUGE difference. much, much easier to insert and not nearly as gross when I removed it. Just a generic shout out for using lube (which I think I see all the time, but never really understood why)....
> Yes lube. Always. Silicone-based. Again relatively new to ass play--so advice definitely appreciated. I am using Astro Glide which is Water-Based. I chose this because I am using it exclusively to lube up a Hush to insert (and once it is there it does not move around much for 2-4 hours). Is that appropriate? So far there have been no issues.... My review of the options seemed to indicate that the Silicon lubes are best when using condoms and oil lubes for foreplay and flesh on flesh anal. close? Also, Astro Glide was for sale at the local pharmacy...convenience remains the main component of kink...Thanks, David S.
Thats true if you own low quality toys. http://dangerouslilly.com/2012/02/ultimate-guide-silicone-sex-toys-metis-black-tantus/
Water based lube dries out. After I've had a plug in for a while it can be painful coming back out after the lube dried. Oil is great too but when I use coconut oil I have to use a copious amount. Oil is not safe for condoms. Silicone doesnt dry out and I don't need very much. If you use quality toys and quality lube no issues and it's safe for condoms. For me silicone checks all the boxes. Just my opinion.
I use water based for short term play, not really tried long term plugging. Might need to invest in some silicone lube just in case :0)
Whoever is on the recieving end you would be mad not to use lube.. ..........potentially far too dangerous. There is nothing more I need to add to that
I normally use water-based lube. Personal preference. Saliva for small plugs. Amazon has some good cost-effective options.
