It occurs to me that a big part of my journey with chastity is the stereotype that every single person interested in it is someone of average or below average size below the belt and submissive.

    I am neither.

My first go round with the biggest cage I could spec out of the box was nearly disasterous. I used a Man Cage #6 (the #5 is the same size and shape just different cutouts) and posted extensive pics measured on how the specs of the cage are misrepresented. Additionally, after consulting several people the amount of disdain I got for complaining typical Chinese starter cages were too small was toxic. People kept telling me to either find wear a 50mm ring (I measure at 60mm+), that I wasn't fully soft or just give up on chastity and fuck more women.

I did not ask for life advice. I asked for a cage. Being patronized, told I am unlikely to be capable of submission and that the results of my experiment are bound to be poor has been pretty much the entire journey. It took me months to get up the courage to start this and it has been uphill since the first removal of the first cage. I still remain polite and I have learned a lot but I have learned stereotypes follow you everywhere.

Chatting with a cage shop owner I have hope of getting in a cage under $200, which beats my original resignation of $400+ with custom chastity. Mature Metal cages all stop at 5" length and I haven't heard back from steelwerks yet. The fact remains I am reslly not thrilled at spending $300+ on a cage just to safely experiment with chastity. It isn't my plan. But, that is on the list of things I'm looking at.

So, until I get an update on what I'm gettng...this dipstick will be waiting in the oil.

    DS in.

I had the same issue.... I use a Bon4ML with their 60mm cage and it fits really well.

I like the design but the internal diameter is lacking. I will keep looking. Looks like a solidly constructed device.

Sorry you had a negative reaction your first time around. I will offer my two cents on cage selection in that you get what you pay for. I went with MM Jailbird for my second cage. Not only are you buying a great product, but the support and adjustments are key :) to long term wear. If you think about how much you wear it the pro-rated investment isn't significant. Best of luck finding a cage that works for you and your monster cock.

Not sure about how much use I'll get out of it currently. Single and curious doesn't seem to be exactly what would merit that level of upfront investment. But, Mature Metal designs and their willingness to adjust their products years down the line is notable.

I am still in the researcher phase and have no clue what I will actual end up with.

Today I got a very fast response back from Evotion Wearable. They make a very pretty style cage and it has a glossy metallic look to the coloring, so should you request it.

They are sure they can do the job to the specs I provided. However, they will charge an "oversize" upcharge of $150 on top of device cost of $329. So, $479 before shipping or any other charges.

Not really interested in a price tag that steep when optimistically 4-5 weeks is their fastest turnaround time. But, that is data from one quote request.

So @JosieLynn Jewell has decided to help me with my cage quest. She was the most affordable of the manufacturers I contacted so for a $75 oversize design fee I got the process started.

Specs for the perspective cage are-

    total length: 152mm
    Head width: 39mm
    head circumference : 127mm
    head length: 38mm
    shaft width: 44mm
    shaft circ: 152mm
ring: 63mm - no ball hook
ball gap: TBD - loose and hanging

And it'll still be a couple weeks until it is in hand to try. But she took the job so I am happy.

Any other quote response will still be posted here as a reference even though my first custom cage is set now.

    @Dipstick
I’m glad you found a cage for yourself! Let us know how it works for you.

In perhaps a separate post, once you’ve settled into your CherryKeeper, I’d like to hear you speak on the topic of the feeling being caged at 6” long.

IF you ever do go for a custom metal steel cage, I would recommend MaleChastityNow. I was going to suggest his Adaptus as a semi-custom option at $160 but your girth far exceeds 1-3/8” diameter... no matter how much you could stuff the length, this wouldn't work. You’d need to contact Mark via email to go beyond the webform, and be willing to pay $320 for a Contender cage. Thus, I didn’t pipe up in that other thread, as my recommendation didn’t fit your sizing or price requirements. He’s made many adjustments for me over the years, and I’ve achieved a perfect fit in his steel.

The logical terminus here for this thread is likely going to be when I get the cage and first successful wear impressions. I could make it a long term chastity journal but I doubt I would rack enough wear time to have eventful things occur as this is a single dominant man's experiment.

I may but my experience at self locked will vastly differ from other hung men locked at a woman's behest.

His cages are too Spartan for the price point in my opinion. I'll end up past $320 for a contender, as everyone has set dies, jigs and other machining for minimum and maximum specs. As soon as you exceed the drop down offerings for length and/or you get "oversize design upcharge" which covers them making or buying mold and machining for your "one off" specialty design. Typical upcharge is $150.

I like the Pet Trap Mature Metal design and some of the creature cages from Steelwerks and the Ghost Custom design from custom chastity (which they offer in like a dozen materials). Evotion Orion is pretty but far too expensive for plastic in my opinon. Just some Cadillacs I looked at for a possible but improbable future.

I was mistaken. My previous specs were just my measurements in millimeters. @JosieLynn Jewell has actually corrected me, sent actual specs and drawings. Rather fast too. Super professional.

    Total Length: 142mm
    Cage Diameter: 44 x 46mm
    Ring: 63mm
Ball to Cage Gap : 22.5mm

I asked her permission and she did allow me to share drawings. So...here is the blueprint. Seems spot on honestly. A bit excited.

Mark’s cages are “spartan” in their design. I prefer his clean lines to the obvious working lines in Lori’s (molded?) and MM’s flat-plate welding. But it’s a matter of personal taste.

Your cage from JosieLynn looks based on “round stock” so to speak, even if it’s a 3d printed cage. I prefer round rods bent to shape to tubes and flat plates for comfort. As such I think you’ll like your cage.

3d printing cost is related to size. Some of that is unavoidable. So that $150 upcharge estimate is fair.

Stainless steel goes by the complexity of welding and difficulty (or effort put into) in polish. Suprisingly 316 steel rod isn’t all that expensive (20$/lb-ish on one site) but the time spent with quality welds, and polishing a device seems to be a big factor in price. The cheap Chinese stuff uses 304, has sloppy welds and tolerancing, and low polish.

Adding all that up... I can’t say that an extra long cage portion and extra cage rings would require an 50% upcharge from Mark. But you’d really have to ask. He has a rig that can make any diameter size (to a minimum).

But if you like the continuous curve from the 3d printed design JosieLynn made you, then you’ll be good! It looks great. It will also be light, which will be important for you.

Some men like the grip of multiple “shaft rings” all the way down, and more coverage along the underside. Some men like continuous rods bending.

I am amazed at how diverse the male chastity market is. It’s the golden age ... compared to 20 years ago at least.

Steelwerks Extreme is an order of magnitude as they CNC machine stainless and titanium. That’s artwork.

I think Male Chastity design is my second fetish. I wish I could do more myself. I’m fascinated by the challenges and the thought experiments.

    On being dominant...

In 2015 I acted in bed as the “dominant” partner (or perhaps a “top” leading things) in many ways, and controlled my ejaculation. It was fun. I felt like a porn star god. I fucked. And I’d keep fucking and always be ready. It was all part of the experiment.

It was in 2016 when my wife and partner took over as daily keyholder. I sort of miss being the big man with infinite stamina. It was fun. You can play your way and don’t have to conform to the crowd’s expectations.

    Enjoy your experiment!

I think what Dipstick posted is worded slightly confusingly. We started with a flat $75 design fee, and due to the size, if I went over my set number of hours for custom design, I would add additional cost to the final purchase price of the cage. If the measurements hold up and this first model is correct, then the price to order the printed cage and ring is only ~$61. I had quoted a maximum charge of $120 for the extra time if things got complicated or if there are a lot of revisions, hence the $200 number. Hopefully we both understood that, and it was just conveyed incorrectly.

I was speaking on other upcharge quotes I got, as I did several companies. But I apologize if it was murky. I thought I specifically referred to Evotion Wearables first.

A truly moot point, as I am unlikely to run the scenario enough where steel is a pertinent choice.

She just made something happen for me that I truly can appreciate for a price under market. Can't be happier.

Evotion Wearables and another solo quote were $150, Josie came in at $75 for a design markup.

I plan on it. To learn and see if there's application for me will require time under lock and key. But, no scenario includes longterm. It simply wouldn't work in my life.

After all said and done...costs broken down here-

    $75 design
    $61 for device and color
$18 for rush processing (ship June 17 not July 1) Shapeways charges this.
$12 two day shipping (range was $5-17)
    $7 sales tax
    $25 lock cylinder

    $198

Still under $200 at a June 19 delivery date under 2 weeks.

I guess next update will be delivery and impressions!

I'm going through some of the same problems with not being able to find a cage large enough. I ended up getting one custom made from customchastity.com (still getting made as of this post). So far I only have the prototype and it fits me perfectly. Currently the final cage is in production and can't wait to surprise my wife with it. I couldn't find any mainstream mass-produced cage that could fit my girth as well, and was forced to get one custom made. Yours came in way cheaper than mine so far. I hope yours turns out nice.

I gave custom chastity a serious look. Just did not justify the cost. Not at my experience level and likely level of utility.

Today I got a quote back from steelwerks. Mind the spellingas there is another company with a similar name of much less cost.

They were very cordial, laid out several very intricate options. The email is long and elaborate, but the bottom line is they are a prestige/luxury market.

Options they gave me ranged from $1600 up to $5000. Which, if cost is no object may appeal but not in my case.

Ouch. For $5000 that should include a Mistress and a year of teasing.

The Tiffany Supreme is solid Titanium and includes a titanium catheter tube at $5000. You can cheap out and skip the tube for $4500.

What more do you want? lol

Received my custom Cherry Keeper a few days ago. First impressions are it is well made, the tube dimensions are perfect, as though she were there live to take measurements, and...I botched the ring measurement enough that I should be ashamed of myself lol.

Pictures of the cage and measurements are in the album. One more picture of it taped will be forthcoming. A new ring is in the pipe as well. But, at this point the "perfect fit" for me does exist...it is just being tweaked.

Looks great! I kind of wish I would have found this site and waited a little before dropping a couple hundred on one from CustomChastity (just shipped and can’t wait to get it) because I might have went for a custom made one from @JosieLynn Jewell as well. The cherry picker looks like a great design. Thanks for posting your experience, I’m sure it will help other well endowed guys who read it.

The design is great. The rougher surface does demand cleaning by hand post wear and likely isn't good for longer term lockup though.

Custom metal seems worth the cost or a smoother, non germ conductive plastic if long term is the goal.

That's something I'm actively trying to solve. Sculpteo offers a post-processing finish called smoothing beautifier, and I can confirm that it's nice, it's smooth, and it's sealed - a white cage came out of a 10 day lockup looking just the same as going in. Unfortunately, they're the only one offering it, their platform is difficult to use, and I'd have to run my own website and process my own orders to use them (something I don't have time for), also, only available in black or white...

Shapeways also just announced several "tough" resin products, and I've ordered a design in a transparent resign (it won't be perfectly see through), that I will test and make available if it is workable. It's expensive though, about 4-5 times the cost of standard Nylon prints currently.

I've been reading a lot from 3D printed puzzle makers about their techniques for a smoother product, and how to seal the Nylon prints. I will have everything I need machinery and supply-wise in a couple weeks. There's no way to sell anything like this at the price you can get them in the shop for as there's going to be more labor, supplies, and machine time to make these (if and when I can get everything to work properly).

Oh, also going to test spray painted parts on a lark...

What we want is wonderfully colored, strong, perfectly sealed products that we can have in any design, and we want them cheap, and fast... Whoever figures that out has my business!
