I travel for work so I am only home a couple nights a week. Any ideas on how to carry a spare key for emergencies? We are currently using an envelope that she has made so she will know if it was tampered with. Does anyone use anything different?
I used to have a small plastic pill bottle which my then keyholder superglued the lid on . I could hear the key rattling on my pocket when I walked which was a tease on itself but knew I could easily break the bottle by stamping on it to get the key out if there was an emergency.
In my wallet is a small piece of newspaper with the date printed on it and her initials she made. then I laid the key on it then wrapped it in clear packing tape. It has been there for so long that most of the time I actually forget that I have it. It has been there since the original cb2000. It has held out well.
I have a realtor key lock box that I keep in my trunk. It's heavy duty metal, no way I could break into iti t. wife set a 5 digit combination and I would contact her if I needed to get the key.
We use a similar lock box for an emergency key. When I’m home, it sits on my night stand where It is yet another reminder of my status; so near and yet so far away.
For a temporary measure you can use a note of paper currency and some translucent sticky tape. It's a very simple and effective method which I've used before and it works very well. Simply place the key on top of the dollar bill/puound note/euro or what have you. Place the key so that the serial number on the note is visible and then stick the key down with clear sticky tape. I used "Gorilla" tape but I'm sure any strong, clear sticky tape will do. The wider the better. Make sure the tape covers the key and the serial number or better still the whole thing. Of course it's best for him not to have an emergency key so that he knows that his only chance of being unlocked is in your presence without any other options..
And the look on the cashiers face when you layed the Money on the counter to buy something? I think it's easier if I have apiece of paper in my wallet with the key taped to it. Or I don't have a Key at all
We have a home and a travel emergency key setup. The at-home is a felt lined wooden box and the travel key holder is made from copper tubing, I got that idea from one of the other members (maybe nicoftime?) in another thread but I can't remember which thread, but it functions nicely and fits in my pocket AND doesn't rattle AND fits anonymously in the TSA tray too. Both can be easily defeated with a sharp knife or scissors, but my Queen CJ has the numbers and it would cost me dearly if I got caught cutting the lock without an emergency, and after-all chastity does require some self control and cutting it to cheat would show disrespect to my Queen and I would deserve a severe punishment.
