Just hopping in to post this, then I'm going to be staying off the site for a few days. Since Friday, I've found that whenever I log in to CM, everything will be fine as I read a few threads, then it just keeps trying to load whatever thread I just clicked on, forever. This freezes my entire computer. Can't go to other tabs, can't 'x' out, can't do anything except restart the computer.

That is not good to hear although it may be your PC or Browser that is causing the glitch.

I have been having a similar problem with a completely different site, relating to a web provider. Each time i go to make a change in a list it freezes the whole browser and all the other open tabs. It just gives a "ding" noise when I click on anything. Only solution is to use Task Manager to close it down :(

However when I use MS Edge for that site all is well. Most frustrating!

Might be worth trying a different browser as a first step? Admin always suggested clearing my cache when I have had troubles here in the past - try that.

I should have put in a disclaimer that you do it at your own risk LOL

I understand it can be beneficial to the parts you may not normally reach ;)

MMM Well https://kb.iu.edu/d/ahic did clear out my browser history but not my search history.
I use my system is windows 10 my isp is virgin media my browser is firefox and I have foolishly returned to using google as a search engine.
When I type in the first letter of a search I keep getting previous searches being offerd to me as some sort of auto complete thing.
Not a major issue for me could be a disaster for some... But I would still like to know how to completely erase bothmy browser and my search history.
If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it if you would share them please.

google search history is most likely NOT browser based ... deep in your google account (depending on settings) you can even go back to any day you like and see where your phone was (f phone is associated with google account and location is turned on) ... I beleive this article discusses the ways into this information and how to delete it.

The article seems a bit outdated April 2015 ... but here it is https://www.pbs.org/newshour/nation/see-delete-google-history

to get to your google account on your desktop go to https://myaccount.google.com/
