My own attitude has always been simple. Within the first few days she told her best friend, I think to get a judgment on how weird it was. She didn't say anything about our lifestyle, just that I locked it up to make her feel more secure that I would never cheat on her(not the reason I wear it), her friend said it was sweet and as far as I know, they have never spoken about it again.

We have always felt that only those with a need to know should know about our sex life. We successfully went 30 years in a poly triad with my wife's best friend and no one ever said anything about why my wife's best friend had her own room in our home and went out with us a lot. My wife was best friends with her girlfriend since they were kids. Both are bi and neither told the other for fear of losing a friend. So they learned to be secretive and still are.
