Muslims are being debated all lover the world so why not on CM? Not looking for a jihad, but I would be interesting to cast some light on the status of male chastity lifestyles among muslims. We all know that female chastity is strongly enforced in huge parts of the muslim societies, not so much by belts and locks, but by religion, culture, nicab and other types of female suppression, but how will the concept of male chastity adapt to a muslim mindset? Personally I find it hard to see male chastity and FLR to have much chance in a muslim maledriven community? What About You, What Do You think? What Do You know? Does anyone know of a muslim wearing a chastity device or/and engaged in a FLR? I would ike to have a debate on the difference in culture and the impact on the adaption of the lifestyle. Perhaps we even get a better understanding of why so many males in the "western countries" are getting into this....?
It's an interesting subject but male chastity does not fit at all with islamic culture which is 100% male-supremacist:Under sharia polygamy is permitted but not polyandry;wives must be available to pleasure the husband anytime, any place;as witnesses two women equal one man;a woman inherits half that of a man;a man may marry a non-muslim but not vice-versa;even 'paradise' resembles an orgy for man's pleasure. The misogyny is endless and mohammed even broke his own rule by having up to 9 wives at one time, not counting concubines and sex-slaves. Having said that, there are almost certainly non-devout muslims who crave an FLM and control of their sexuality.
Of the muslims I know, most, like most religious people, select from the doctrine the stuff that suits them. I don't know any that avoid alcohol, for example. My mother's family is Jewish and at Passover, they buy various cakes and crackers. My mother has been known to buy the crackers, take one of the crackers and add a load of ham to it. Getting really off topic but activists are often the same. Environmentalists love to talk about turning off lights (which has little impact) but are often happy to drive or fly to protests.
Why not? I do not speak Arabic so correct me if I am wrong, but is not the meaning of a muslim: one who submits? And is gender neutral so applies to either.
I am not to sure why you are just talking about Muslims and male chastity. For all religions would be against the idea of male chastity. Not just muslins' and it is not fair to single them out as been something different, but if you were talking about the extremists like we see on the news all the time i would think Yes they would have a problem with the idea of chastity using a device and the concept of FLR but then again they have a problem with anyone who is not an extremist.
I'm not so sure about that. The question is: is it set out chapter and verse in any rubric? Nothing to do with extremists who are inclined by definition to pick on one aspect (to exclusion of all else) for their own extreme interpretation. And this can apply also to extremists of other religions. But this thread/OP was specific to Islam. For other religions I suggest start separate threads for clarity. I shall be checking out just the Koran in this when I can get hold of a copy from the Library.
theres some Ladys i see that has all black clothes and a teeny weeny little space to see thro and Mistress says that theym muslims.
The verses of the koran are not in chronological order which makes it extra-confusing.If you go to 'citizenwarrior' you can download a version in the right order.
I think because the religion is so male dominated that if any male were ever caught practicing chastity with his wife they would certainly be ostrisized by their community. But that being said, we all crave what we can't have and therefore I also believe that there are probably a decent number of Muslim males that would prefer to submit to their wives or maybe do so very very privately. I think geological location will play a major factor as well. For instance a male wanting to practice chastity in Afganastan, Iran or Saudi Arabia is highly unlikely. However I could see Jordan being one of the few exceptions in the Middle East where you might find a microcosm of males practicing chastity. But I would also say that Muslims living outside the Middle East I.e. Europe, America there is a greater liklihood of a larger number of those who might practice male chastity.
I believe this is a picture from the burning man festival... But it is nice to see an image of such reversal of roles. Don't you agree?
If you are a normal muslim it's like being a normal christian. You say you believe in something and then you don't give a damn about it if it's a role you don't like... If you are a hard core muslim or christian the man is the master of the house... so... Then of course, the more education, free time, less family watching over you, the more you can live out your fantacys. If you look at the royal family members in Saudi for example... They are the worst kind of Islamist and the people have a lot of roles, but for them self, they do the opposite. If one or two of them want a domina, they will have it. Another thing is, where are you living... In a mountain willage in Afganistan, probably not. In Teheran, a much bigger chans, born as a muslim and live in Scandinavia... If you want it you do it!
I Couldn't say for sure either way. But this is pretty tame compared to other things at Burning Man Festival. Regardless if it's photoshopped or not, I still enjoy the imagery.
