I have been in the lifestyle for a few years now. I have been a long time lurker on this site but finally had an experience today for which I thought everyone here could benefit from my experience. I have been locked up for a few months now without a break and knew I would be traveling this weekend and asked my wife to release me. Unfortunately in the past whenever she has cut me a break I have cheated and rubbed one out so I have lost my credibility. Long story short she said she wouldn't be releasing me this weekend and we would just see what happened with TSA. Well it wasn't good. I am TSA pre check so I only have to go through the metal detector. I am wearing a stainless steel chastity device made by Rigid Chastity. The metal detectors went off of course. I did my homework before hand and everyone says to let them know that you are wearing body jewelry which I did but they still pulled me over to the side. The first person asked me what was going on and I straight up told him the truth and asked if he has seen 50 shades of gray and that it was a similar situation. I told him that my dick was pierced and I was wearing a steel cock cage. He was very professional and said he had to to a pat down which I said do what you have to do. I was very friendly. He joked around and we talked about where I was going. No problem, a little embarrassing but I expected it. The TSA agent wasn't sure what to do so he called in another guy and I had to tell him as well and he also performed a pat down. They didn't like what they felt so they called in a security code and brought another agent over and she stopped everyone in line by loudly announcing "everyone in the terminal STOP" talk about embarrassment! So they escort me to a back room and the manager of the airport comes in and shakes my hand and introduces himself and asks me to explain what is going on. I tell him and he says to wait a minute. Another guy comes in and asks me a bunch of questions such as where I am from, where am I going, and they ran my information. They said that they can't verify what it is so that I wouldn't be permitted to fly. I told them I would be more than willing to drop my pants and show them but they said they don't do strip searches. They also called the local police who said the same thing that they don't do strip searches. I told them I had the key in a sealed envelope and my piercing removal device since I have a CBR 6 gauge PA in my check in luggage and I could just take it off. They said they would have to escort me out of the area with police to go pull my bag. I told them I was very frustrated because I was a vet, TSA pre check, and I have been completely honest with them about the situation and was extremely embarrassed as there were now 4 of them in the room and even though I was willing to show them the device they won't look at it and are treating me as though I am doing something illegal even though I looked on TSA's blog and it says it is allowed. Can't find that link anymore. Finally after 45 minutes they must have figured I wasn't a threat and the manager asked two of the others to step out and asked me to drop my pants and show them. I did and they asked if the other was satisfied and they were. He apologized and told me this would happen at every airport I go to and not to wear it again. He said I had to understand his position that he is responsible for the safety of the passengers and if they can't verify something their default is to protect. I told them that I have the utmost respect for what they do and completely understand. They wanted me to sign something that was a CYA type deal but eventually just let me go. So travel in chastity at your own risk. I can say this experience was awful and so embarrassing I would never do it again. Hopefully this answers some of your questions about what would happen if you travel through the airport with a device on. I'm glad that I can finally contribute something useful.
Soooo, leave extra time to deal with security? I feel you...I've been wanting to lock up, but we go to the amusement park frequently during the summer and they have metal detectors. I have a 0 ga PA, so as it is I have to switch to acrylic for the day or just leave it out. Locking up AND having the jewelry would only be a hassle. I suppose if my wife were my KH I could switch to acrylic and my fake CB-xxx device, but if I had a third party KH, I might be screwed. Plus the ride restraints aren't exactly PA friendly, I can only imagine the discomfort of having a cage pressed down tight like that. With my luck, that'd be the ride the ride gets stuck on the track somewhere for hours
I have always said that I would never wear my device in America or places like the Philippines for exactly the scenario you describe. Thanks for sharing the story, it was nice to get your perspective and experience.
Use a combination lock and she can give you code to take it off right before you go through security. Re-lock as soon as you are through security and send her photo showing its done. You can also carry several keyed locks with numbers on them and multiple keys that are laminated with paper with her signature so you can prove you haven't used one. I'm not a fan of plastic devices and prefer to not have an emergency key but airports are just too much of a pain in the ass to mess with.
My device has an integrated lock but I am going to start carrying a key safe with number locks. Plastic devices aren't my favorite, plus I don't even think they are that effective as you can just pull right out the back. Airports are a pain in the ass.
Neither of us has ever really been a fan of plastic. I am sure that would work better through the airport though.
I have successfully been through an airport scanner wearing a Holy Trainer but that was in Europe. I still wouldn't do it in America.
My husband flys frequently, like at least three times a week in his profession. He has been through metal detectors across the country and into Canada. Everytime it goes off he tells them that he has body peiercings. He gets wanded and then he gets on his way. In addition to the metal detectors, he goes through the body scanners more often and never has to stop. The TSA even states that chastity devices are ok. So you just got unlucky. Sorry to hear about your experience. Luckily my husband has come to terms with chastity and is no longer embarrassed but rather feels proud that he makes me happy. If this happens to him I am sure he would be just fine.
I am flying Wednesday, going back to England to vote in this damn EU referendum. I asked my Wife what she wanted me to do and she asked me what I meant. About my device, I said. Without a pause she replied Well, I suppose you should take a key with you, just in case. So, you don't want me to take it off? What for? So, that's that decided then!
My Mistress and I just returned from vacation in Hawaii and I had a completely different experience. I'm in a "Contender" by MaleChastityNow complete with 4G PA pin. I went through the scanner/detector at LAX without being asked anything about my chastity. On the way back however, Mistress suggested I request a pat down instead of going through the scanner. (She felt TSA in Hawaii may see and be less informed about male chastity, so wanted to avoid any delays) I made no mention of my device and it was not discovered in the pat down either. I've also flown from LAX to Seattle a few times without any issues either. Depends who ya get, when and where I guess!!
I just went through the TSA at Chicago O'hare a few days ago. I used the full body scanner with zero issues. I stepped in, scanned, stepped out, and on my way. I was wearing my stainless steel cage.
Maybe it's Chicago lol! I just went to wrigley field a few days ago, and was shocked to see metal detectors at the gates. I did not bring an emergency key, I've not needed to be released for an emergency since I got the sizing right. Thought I could make it another few hours, I never even dawned on me there would be metal detectors. It was game time, I spent money, I was with my family and son, I was gonna go to this game if I had to show him the damn cage...I walked through and nothing happened. I have a mature metal, steel, heavy, jailbird device. There are guns made of less metal than my cage, and I went right through.
I'm flying next week for the first time locked. I think I'm going to take a key with me, take the device off and then put it back on after I go through security. I will also put a numbered plastic lock around it to prove when I fly home that it wasn't removed during my trip. At least that is my plan.
Currently using the CB-6000s and use a plastic numbered security tag to travel (currently away on business right now). No issues. Don't like the CB-6000 that much and am waiting on a custom made "Leopard" from Customchastity.com - this is made out of surgical nylon and also has no issues at airport (or other) security checks. Also awaiting the arrival of a Queens Keep from Mature Metal with the screwed locking mechanism, which will become my standard device when not traveling. I'd hate to have the 45 min delay that the OP mentioned - having to explain and/or show the device to anyone would not be an issue in itself. Sounds like some have had no issues with steel devices, which is good to know in the event that I find myself in a TSA line wearing one. However, my go to approach will be to use the Leopard.
Hmmm, going to the middle east in december/january... Not the perfect time to try out airport security with a chastity device... No, that's 4 weeks I'm not going to be locked
Maybe I did just have a bad experience. I felt pretty confident going in, nervous, but confident since I have read so many positive experiences on here. I appreciate your reply
Yes reckon what nothing like that has ever happened to me...although they did get a bit flustered until I said, cant i just show you...then it was all good...
