I have been looking for a new lock for me device(s), not the usual brass ones. I do have one that I am rounding off as much as possible, but it's slow going.

I'd like to find one like the photo below, but all I can find are too large. Even a sturdy heart shaped padlock would be good.

We just cant seem to like the plastic numbered tags.

Any thoughts or ideas on where to look? I'll be going to Harbor Freight this week to see what they might have.

Thanks in advance for any help!!!

There are some nice decorative ones here that are priced very reasonably . My Mistress and I both like the looks of the keys as she can display it on her necklace with it looking to "hardware store'ish" like some of the typical keys do.

You can round a brass padlock off quite quickly by rubbing it against a brick or concrete, as the brass is really soft in comparison.

The brass ones only lock sideways on my device. I'd prefer one that sits centered. Plus, the brass ones tend to have sharp edges, and they can really pinch at inappropriate times. ;)

I always sand the edges (corners) of a new lock and then buff it a little ... a Dremel works GREAT for this.

I am looking for a side shank lock as well. It should greatly increase the arousal factor knowing that it would be next to impossible to cut off.

If you don't mind Harbor Freight (since you mentioned them...), the angle grinder with a grinding wheel is a good way to take the edges off of a brass lock. Just put the grinder in a vice to keep it stationary and carefully run the edges of the lock along the wheel.

In my case, I just use a rubber coated MasterLock instead.
