I've read Tips & Tricks for Keyholders. It has a few things that are worth reading, others are not for me. You can find it for $3.99, that is all I'd pay for it.

I haven't read that one, but I have read How to set up an FLR, and my Wife is reading the first book. We like her way of thinking and plan on getting the one you are talking about.

 

I have read several of her books. They all have the same theme except for how to set up an FLR, each book does contain new ideas, and stuff from the other books. I have the hard copies so I can write notes and review as I like.

 

As I said I am reading the FLR one but I'm not sure how much of it my Wife would follow. Did you follow the advice much in your own relationship or did it come across as taking things a bit too far?

 

We actually wrote in the book to show each other what level we would be at for most of the items she suggests. That way we were able to establish hard and soft limits. As with all things he was much more open and had wider limits than I do. I have done some of the things, but I am moving more slowly than he would like.

 

Sounds like me an my Wife! She is taking things slowly so that what we do becomes more established and 'normal', while I want all the best toys in the toybox NOW!!!!! Raaah!

I think a lot of subs who initiate the chastity lifestyle want it all...NOW. Part of being a sub is accepting what is given, when it is given. As the keyholder, my slowly moving allows me to process how he is doing. If I gave him everything he wants when he wants it, the who is really in charge? Me or him.

 

Absolutely. It is the biggest thing to have to do, to ask to have control be taken by the Keyholder, and then actually giving that control away for real. It has got a lot easier for me recently as I think I now completely trust my Wife with that control. She isn't just going to stop now, we have both invested far too much into our relationship for that to happen.

 

I've read both of Mistress Ivy's books discussed here. The second one with tips does have some new material that is likely of use. The cost to download it is minimal and even sending away for a 'real' book will only cost about $15 with shipping.

 

This is so true. I've been locked for 3 weeks today and I was the one who initiated it. I had expectations of whips, chains and degradation because that's what I've seen on the Internet. But after a few days of frustration of not getting what I wanted, I started to appreciate that I was giving control to my Keyholder, and that I was living under the conditions that she wants. What started out as a kinky fantasy has turned into respect and obedience towards my Keyholder without even realising it.

 

@Willywonka if you managed to go from expectations to understanding in just three weeks you have my respect. It took me a lot longer. More like three months! I have got to the stage where I don't need any fantasies fueled by captioned images on Tumblr. Mostly because I don't need to fantasize about chastity, I am doing it and in a way defined and controlled by my Wife.
