Steelworxx build times and shipping

    I wanted to ask anyone with a Steelworxx device what was their build time wait and what did they pay for shipping from Germany to USA. I'm trying to compare cost and wait times with Mature Metal.

    Build time is fairly slow, but well worth the wait for a made to measure quality device. Mine was about 5 weeks but that was some time ago.

    I do recall one member form the US who failed to ask and pay for airmail and it took forever getting to the US on surface mail.

    Be sure to specify and remind Dietmar that you want airmail - and remind him before he ships.

    Others may have more recent knowledge on current build times.

    I ordered mine mid November and it arrived about a week ago. Well worth the wait. This was shipping to the UK.

    Just checked the order. I placed it on the 20th of November and it was despatched on the 16th of January. I recieved it a few days later.

    On a somewhat related topic, what is the best way to contact Steelworxx? I sent a message via the "Contact Us" link on the website about a week ago, as well as a follow-up message via email on Monday and have yet to hear back. Is he on vacation?

    I always use info@steelworxx.de and Dietmar responds reasonably quickly.

    He seems to leave responding until the end of his working day but he may well be away on his Easter hols, although he usually is quite clear on the website when he will be away.

    Nothing indicating that at the moment.

    My experience has also been just as amazing as some others have reported. He was always prompt with replies. Do not fret if he didn't respond. He seems to be a busy man with all of our demands. Please be patient and perhaps resend your inquiry.

    TRUST those of us who have his products. It is WELL worth the wait and effort and whatnot.

    Ok. Maybe you can answer me question. I am wanting to get the steel heart or steel heart 2. I was concerned about hygiene and peeing. I don't want to have spray or leaking.

    It will have the ps fixing.

    How often do you take it off for a good cleaning?

    I take it off about once a week. I have the Steel Heart 1 and asked for a custom piss slot. I asked him for a 5mm x 20mm slot instead of the drilled hole. I rarely flood my cage unless I have have a urgent pissing. I use the shower massager daily to spray it out well.

    Well i am just finishing 9 days locked in a holy trainer v2.

    I am loving being locked up but not liking the plastic.
    I ordered the steelheart with PA fixing and asked for the piss hole to be fixed like yours. That made a lot of sense.
    I have to take some measurements later this week.

    Once i get it i will be ready to move from self locked to having a key holder. Either my partner or a friend as my partner has not been getting into it.

    I can post the specs after i submit them.

    I verified my measurements several times in a couple ways. First after getting Dietmar's advice I cut a piece of paper at his recommended length and held it to myself. Then I cut my original size before consulting with him. I then cut a few in between. I had at the time a business card with a mm ruler on one edge.

    I settled on what I thought was right and made my final decision. THEN I saw Harbor Freight had a digital caliper on sale. SO, I bought it and verified my choice a few times against the caliper. I set the caliper to the sizes I sent Dietmar and then I held it against myself to see if it seemed right. I was nervous because the cost of the device. I was settled enough to not contact him for changes.

    When it arrived it was perfect!

    Dietmar delivers high quality work in an acceptable time. Not really cheap, but then it is high quality. I published a few pics on my profile of custom work by Dietmar. It's our favorite toy. Totally made to order. Time was about 2 months, including one resend to fix a wrong measure (our fault).
