    Good morning all! I've been up all night performing some upgrades for you all. Nothing special just yet i'm afraid.

    The following were updated:

    • Forum core updated to the newest version, adds small features and security.
    • Theme updated - Adds security.
    • Gallery updated - Adds security
    • Instant Messenger Bar updated - Adds security
    As you can see, it's mainly a security thing! Keeping the software up to date improves performance and makes the site safer. There are also some new things in place to stop spammers and bots from signing up.

    Soon i will be updating a few more features, and making some more site changes so stay tuned for a future update thread.

    If you find any issues or notice anything wrong, let me know!

    Yep. When I had my own forum, most of my time was fighting off spammers and hackers. It was a forum on a topic that stirs a lot of emotion in people and there were very organized attacks to bring my site down. Eventually I shut it down as it seemed that I was the only one who cared.

    I wish to only add what others have said. Thanks. I don't know the ins and outs of maintaining a site, but I'm sure it is no simple undertaking. Even if you don't realize it, you are much appreciated. Thank you for all you do for such an amazing place.

    Its subtle but I like it.

    Hey admin as all the others here have already said it is good to see you on here again and hopefully you may have gotten your Mojo back? I do hope so mate as it was always nice having you pop in and out way back and hopefully things may just be helping you turn a corner as well. Thanks:)

    Any body tried chat with the latest android version .
    No matter how I scroll the screen can't get the box you read and type in to deploy.
    Typical if it ant broke don't fix it may be

    Thanks for keeping things going. i do have one question. did these updates cause anyone else's alerts tab to just roll and roll and roll, as if it never stops updating?

    Two things:

    1) It's not about fixing things. I do 'updates' for security reasons. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Don't update things and you guys are at risk and so is the site. Do update things to protect the site and everyone who uses it, and sometimes something might not work 100% for a moment whilst the quirks are ironed out.

    2) It works fine for me, so therefor going on what you said, should i just ignore anyone saying it's not working for them?

    Right. I'll look into fixing the chatroom that no one wants to use anyway, apart from to post a message saying 'is anyone in here' despite it showing on the forums main page, on the right hand side when someone is in there.

    By the alert tab issue, are you referring to the loading animation in the top right corner of the screen?o_O

    Sorry i seem to be a pain.
    Yes the alerts tab the white stripes run across all the time.
    It's not the chat room but the individual chat that i cannot get the bit you write in to stay on the screen when you scroll the screen it won't stay still .

    It's not actually in the alerts tab, it's in the top right corner no matter how far up or down the page you are. It's the website loading in data, but it seems to be working non stop at the moment. So most likely a bug, i will look at fixing it to stop it blinking. It's pretty annoying.

    Still not sure what you mean about the individual chat thing though. Do you mean the messenger bar at the bottom of the screen?

    Are you using a phone or tablet? Or a PC/laptop

    My Android tablet is no use for mini chat - and on Apple mobile products it floats around but is usable. Many use iPads so they may have input

    Yes android running latest version on my note 2 soon to be note 4 !

    Yes it's the chat in the bottom right where you open it up and click on the name

    The box open s in the middle of the screen clickon it and the box you type in opens but only for a second.

    Exactly the same as on mine.
    I think in the past Admin has said that the site add-on of "mini chat" is not really designed for use on mobile devices. This may have changed with the updates that have been done - but it does seem impossible to use on some Android devices. At least Apple has a constant platform compared to the variety of Android versions there are out there.

    No doubt @Administrator can confirm this when he has done all his other important tasks ;)

    Lol Thanks at least it is just not me .
    I am on another site and that is not happy with the new android version. Keeps putting words in previous sentences.

    I am not that fussed though a few people on here did like to keep in touch via the mini chat .
    So if it works cool.

    I suppose that as Apple lags behind is has an odd advantage.

    I tried it today on the Galaxy S5, The chat bar loaded up ok, and i could click on the list of people online, and open conversations. When i opened a conversation the input curser instantly went into the typing box, so the whole page zoomed in on the chat box, and the keyboard popped up. I had to pinch zoom behind the chat bar to make the page go back to normal.

    So at the moment, the chat bar is not ideal for mobile usage, but ok on computers and tablets.

    Will look into it though
