Actually that's very sad to me. It's one thing when someone chooses to be a sub, but in that society all men seem to be born without the opportunity to have power - much like 13th century women but worse. It's worse because the men are forced to leave when they're 18. How is that love to the male children? "Sorry but you're a man, you have to leave because we believe we'd be better off without you." Seems like they're only using males as sperm donors. And realistically it's not because the town is run by women that it's organized and less violent, it's because it's a small town. History shows that female rulers have typically been just as ruthless if not more than male ones. Additionally there have been many small villages that were run by men, men and women, and a few other women only run that were very peaceful - sorry I don't have citations on hand. So the common denominator is not male or female leadership, it's size vs. available resources and if a sociopath ends up in charge.

My point is this. Though I would have no problem in being submissive to a woman. It should be a choice and not a politically and socially enforced standard. I don't know I'd want to have a son in that society nor a daughter who would evidently be taught that men are inferior and other condescending ideas. Submission or dominance should be a choice between an individual couple, society should not have a say. I never agreed with the ideas of excluding women and I can't agree with the ideas of this society of excluding men. It's still a form of hate, except in their case it's based on being male and presented in a manner that appears soft. Just like the opposite is misogyny what this town practices is misandry.

So in the end, submission should be a choice, not a social structure.

P.S. I get that for a lot of people here it might just be fun fantasy or maybe ideal for them alone, but please consider my point. You should choose to be disenfranchised because you want it, not forced to be regardless.
