I still think the best way to meet anyone in the BDSM lifestyle for a relationship is through Clubs and Munches. People who actually get out from behind their keyboard and live in the real world. If I had a penny for every guy I spoke to on the internet who suddenly couldn't make it to a club, munch or even coffee date... well, I'd have lots of pennies!

Abso-lutely! completely agree; we sort of gave up the online malarkey, because frankly, a tiny percentage of people actually turn up to a club or munch. Still, I guess that's more fun for those that do make the effort.

I met my current dominant girlfriend online last year about this time. On craig's list of all places. It was my first and only online date. I got unbelievably lucky. She apparently had to go through a lot of the experiences you are describing before finding me. So real genuine people do exist online but they seem to be the exception sadly.

I have met several friends and women that had some potential to be partners on a few sites, surprisingly okcupid. I have met several women that turned into great friends on that site, but never a lover. My best friend in the scene lives and dies by Alt.com, it's a money grubbing meat market loaded with high drama people but he finds "hotties" there all the time. All high drama too. No thanks.

I agree, get out there and meet people at munches, events, education classes, happy hours, etcetera. Most every major city has a local group and events like DO Winter Fire or any of the big camps are loaded with opportunities to meet people. I met my slave when we were serving as staff on the Black Rose big event in 2004 and most couples and moresomes appear to meet in the "in person" scene. Your mileage may vary.

Success can happen via the internet. My wife and I met through Alt ten years ago. I had searched and wrote lots of introductory emails for a few years prior to meeting her and was disappointed often, but I kept at it. I guess I just got lucky. We live a full time FemDomme and cuckold lifestyle.
